One of the greatest reasons why I have stayed in Beaufort County these past 33 years is the basic fact
that the people here are wonderful, generous and caring. Working in the non-profit world has shown
me just how much our dear folks here want to take care of each other through all types of situations:
hurricanes, floods, and in situations of basic food insecurity. Through the eyes of Eagle’s Wings every
day shows the goodness of our people….in food donations, in monetary donations, and in volunteer
service to others.
I do believe our people make the difference in so many lives…by delivery to home-bound clients, by
showing care and compassion to our pantry clients during their eligibility interviews, by picking up and
preparing donated food items for distribution both at our main facility and our satellite locations. Every
little job done by our great volunteers combines with our staff to enable Eagle’s Wings to make a
difference in the lives of our citizens. We live up to our legal name… Eagle’s Wings: Christian Love In
Action……and I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful organization

Premier Partners are United Bank customers who share the bank’s commitment to empowering historically underserved areas and people, developing affordable housing options, supporting small business growth and revitalizing communities. United works with its Premier Partners to understand community needs, implement product recommendations and provide services that will better meet the needs of the community.

To help further advance the mission of each organization, United supports its partners through activities such as hands on volunteerism, fundraising, board membership and corporate giving. Through the partnership with Eagle’s Wings, many United team members serve as volunteers and also sit on the organization’s board and various committees, supporting the mission and vision for both the bank and the nonprofit. “We’re grateful to partner with United Bank as we work daily to alleviate food insecurity in Beaufort County.” Executive Director Ann-Marie Montague said. “Since the start of our partnership, the United Bank team has been hands-on. They continuously look for ways to support Eagle’s Wings and we look forward to continuing to serve the community with United Bank by our side.”
